This role is for a writer with experience or an understanding of live-art and socially engaged art. We are looking for a blogger to document the activities and update our blog/website with what is happening and being discussed during the Truth-Dare-Art: Social Practice Forum on 12/13 July 2019.
This is an opportunity to be part of a mutual learning event at which artists, teachers and organisations will be present. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they have writing experience for online audiences, and preferably an active writing practice.
You must be good at engaging with ideas and processing and summarising information quickly and be able to attend both days in Southampton and Andover. Have a look at the event description and make sure this suits your practice.
We are seeking one Resident Artist to be based in the CAS project space in Andover, Hampshire from early September until 7th December 2019. The artist will work with two community groups in the Andover area, in collaboration with Andover Library and the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium. There will be points in the project to share knowledge and skills with the wider Andover community, celebrate participants work through an Andover based CAS exhibition and ultimately create a work to go on display in the Winchester Science Centre, an organisation that engages more people than any either UK science organisation outside London. The artist will be based at the CAS project space, Chapel Arts Studios where there will be personal studio space and access to a wide variety of resources and equipment.
The Chapters archive is our record of happenings and a collection of artwork to document our collective experiences and relationships. For this rolling (ongoing) open call artists’ are invited to explore what Dissent means to them. Artists ideas and notions may take any form such as social, political, geographical, historical, technological, scientific, cultural or personal dissent. Submissions to Chapter 1.
