Kimvi (b.1982, Bangor, Wales. UK ) is a visual and performance artist, heavily influenced by material and travel, whose work typically encompasses drawing, site-specific installation, photography, printmaking, sculpture, live art and craft. Originally trained in Textiles and Sculpture her practise has explored ways of seeing the rhythms of repetition, and the authority of objects and gestures.
Kimvi is based in England and she continues to live and work in the Historical city of Winchester. She received a BA Honours in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art in 2011, since then she has explored methods of performance from Jurgen Fritz (Black Market), Helen Spackman & Ernst Fischer (LIBENIZ), Ram Samocha (Draw to Perform) and Thomas John Bacon (Tempting Failure). Kimvi has worked, performed and exhibited in Russia, Lithuania, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Morocco, Spain, Sweden and England.
