Exhibition at Chapel Arts Studios in March 2019

’In the round’ will be a CAS associates group show in the Chapel, running between the Thursday and Saturday over the CAS 10 year celebration weekend at the end of March 2019.

Expression of interest due 20 December ’18

The phrase “In the round’ suggests seeing a subject in its entirety, all of its elements on view. This could be referring to us as the group of artists who represent CAS or it could be interpreted in any number of ways but it also echoes the shape of the chapel exhibiting space itself. The show will be a chance for us to celebrate and showcase the work of CAS associate artists and will be an opportunity for our sponsors and supporters to get a sense of the work that we do.

In addition to the exhibited work we want to host perhaps three interactive, performative pieces of work in and around the chapel. We will also be using the Guildhall for displaying a timeline of the work of CAS over the past ten years.

We would invite all CAS associates to submit work/proposals for this exhibition. The exhibition space is not huge and there are around 18 of us in total so it is suggested that, apart from performative/interactive proposals, associates submit up to three works from which we can select a body of work for the group exhibition. We hope to include the BLOCK_CHAIN blocks and perhaps the Chapters box as well in the show.

There is limited 3D space but there is the possibility of hanging work from the ceiling.

At the moment we do not have funding for this exhibition although we will be attempting to raise some to cover costs.

Please send details/images/proposals of the work you would like to submit by 20th December

December to contactsusanfrancis@gmail.com
