Tony is making new work titled ‘The Church of David Hockney’ a collaboration with Peter McGinnis, a fellow resident artist.
It’s slightly tongue-in-cheek, and it’s Tony’s opportunity to experiment with the arches gallery 7.5 as a site-specific space.
There’s also much more happening over the weekend, so come along, details are on the ‘a space’ arts website.
This is for artists, educators and organisations. You are warmly invited to join us for a fun, and stimulating professional development day, exploring the challenges and opportunities of action based art through collaborative on-the-spot actions, inspiring speakers and cross-disciplinary discussion.
Day 1 takes place in Southampton at John Hansard Gallery
Day 2 will take place at Andover Radio Station and include a visit to CAS

Excerpt: “I keep hearing that we need to act urgently, but we also need to slow down, to access ways of knowing that are about dialogue and relationship. For me the slowing down is not only to consume less, fly and drive less, but to get out of our heads and into our bodies and notice the wonder of a world that isn’t yet lost. By noticing and by reflecting on what I notice, I receive glimpses of who I really am, the me that exists within ‘nature’; the me that the world needs me to be.” Read more
