On Friday 12th July, artists, educators and professionals gathered at John Hansard Gallery for CAS’ Social Practice Forum hosted and designed by artist researcher Laurence Dube-Rushby.
The day began with presentations from Marcelo (R.M. Sanchez-Camus) from the Social Art Network and Asten Holmes-Elliot.
Asten’s presentation included LGBTQ bingo and an interactive workshop which took place in the heart of the ‘Resist: Be Modern’ exhibition showing now at John Hansard gallery. You can watch the Live Facebook video here.
In the afternoon Laurence provided us with Truth/Dare prompts on postcards and invited us to explore the gallery in unusual ways, we also worked in groups to discuss a series of questions on six different themes.
Day 1 culminated with a trip to Andover to attend the Private View of CONTAGION (below), Jade Montserrat’s exhibition which was connected to the forum via LiveStream during the day.
