A study of natural forms through the medium of printmaking and bookbinding
Book of Seasons is an exhibition presented by Georgia de Buriatte, a Winchester School of Art alumna, as part of an artist residency with CAS, working with a class at Kings School Winchester to teach and develop a series of prints and books. This exhibition celebrates the work made by the pupils, and the process of Georgia’s time at the school as a visiting artist.

‘IN THE ROUND’ is a phrase that can be applied to many disciplines from sculpture, to theatre, to music, and many more. In the case of this show it carries a multi-layered meaning, a Russian doll of terminology if you like, which continues to reveal itself as each layer is explored.
Set within the round structure of the deconsecrated Dissenters Chapel, which forms CAS HQ, the exhibition brings together the work of the current group of CAS associate artists. At different stages in their careers and from very different backgrounds, each operates as an active part of this collaborative and explorative, dynamic network. Yet despite this, the artists retain their individuality of approach, their unique focus of interest, which is celebrated here in this collection of work. Read more…
CAS Artists invite you to come see their work on display at the Chapel in St Mary’s cemetery Andover. ‘In The Round’ is an unusually rare opportunity to see inside this building as we relaunch CAS for its 10th year with a new logo, a new community program featuring an Andover Town Resident Artist, and CASfest a week of art and activities for you to enjoy a taste of creative culture in central Andover. Whether you want to get creative at our free drop-in sessions for all the family, network with creative people over brunch on Sunday or experience art performances and talks CASfest 2019 18-24 March 2019 has something for you.
