The launch was successful from the Memorial Garden in Andover Hampshire, with just 3 or 4min to spare! Tom Mansfield is now tracking the craft in real-time from a chase car as he sets out to recover it and the onboard cameras.

What will happen to our space-craft?

Will we recover it? Where will it come back to earth? Mission Control is sending updates via SMS text message.

ABOUT

In November 2019, the first CAS:AIR Artist in Residence, Tom Mansfield from Upstart Theatre transformed the Chapel (in St Mary's Cemetery) into Andover Space Programme's MISSION CONTROL. He Worked with Andover Young Carers and the Picket Twenty Fillies (W.I. Group) to plan an Andover space craft launch, taking messages from Andover up to the edge of space!

The craft will be loaded with cameras to get footage of the flight. We plan to track the craft with GPS and will attempt to recover all footage which will be used to create a display at Winchester Science Centre.
